What is The Little Learning Grove?
The Little Learning Grove is an AI-powered platform that helps early-childhood teachers create station-based lesson plans in minutes. You choose a theme, and our AI generates complete lesson plans with activities, materials lists, prep instructions, and printable handouts.
What age groups does The Little Learning Grove support?
We support 2K (ages 2-3), 3K (ages 3-4), Pre-K/4K (ages 4-5), and custom templates. Each age group gets developmentally appropriate activities and language tailored to their stage.
How does the AI generate lesson plans?
When you enter a theme, our AI creates a complete station-based lesson plan with activities for each learning center — literacy, math, science, art, writing, and dramatic play. Each station includes materials, prep instructions, and parent-friendly handout text. You can regenerate or edit any station.
Do I need any technical skills to use it?
Not at all! If you can type a theme like "butterflies" or "community helpers," you can create a full lesson plan. The platform handles everything — generating activities, creating printable PDFs, and organizing your curriculum.
📚 Curriculum & Standards
Are lessons aligned to state educational standards?
Yes! Lessons are currently aligned to Wisconsin's Model Early Learning Standards (WMELS), covering all five developmental domains. We're expanding to additional state standards soon.
What is station-based learning?
Station-based learning organizes your classroom into distinct learning centers — like a literacy corner, math table, science discovery area, and art station. Children rotate through stations, engaging with the same theme through different activities and developmental domains.
Can I customize my curriculum templates?
Absolutely. You can create custom templates with your own station names, descriptions, and developmental goals. Or start with one of our default templates for 2K, 3K, or 4K and adjust it to fit your classroom.
How does session planning work?
Sessions let you plan a multi-lesson sequence around a broad theme. You set the overall theme and number of lessons, and the AI generates coordinated lesson plans that build on each other — each with a unique sub-theme and activities that progress across the session.
🔒 Privacy & Safety
Is my data safe?
Yes. We use encryption in transit and at rest, row-level security in our database, and never share your data with third parties. Your lesson plans and student information stay private to your account.
Is The Little Learning Grove FERPA and COPPA compliant?
We take student privacy seriously. Our platform doesn't collect student data — teachers create lesson plans, not student records. We follow FERPA and COPPA guidelines in our data handling practices. See our Privacy Policy and Security pages for details.
Does AI review content for age-appropriateness?
Our AI is specifically prompted to generate developmentally appropriate content for early childhood. Activities are designed around play-based learning with no worksheets, and materials are common classroom supplies. We recommend teachers review all generated content before use.
Who can see my lesson plans?
Only you. Every piece of data in The Little Learning Grove is isolated to your account with row-level security. No other teacher, administrator, or user can access your templates, lessons, or sessions.
💳 Plans & Billing
Is there a free plan?
Yes! Our free Seedling plan lets you create lesson plans and explore the platform. Paid plans offer higher monthly limits and additional features for teachers who need more.
What's the difference between plans?
Plans differ in monthly lesson and image generation limits. The Sprout plan is great for individual teachers, Sapling works for active planners, and Evergreen is for power users or teams who create curriculum frequently. Visit our upgrade page for current pricing.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime from your account settings. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period, and you won't be charged again. No cancellation fees, no questions asked.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe, our secure payment processor. Stripe handles all payment information — we never see or store your card details.
